Bio
Hannah Bearden is a multimedia artist and project manager, with a primary focus in the film and animation industry. She has shown work and participated in residencies both nationally and internationally. Bearden is one of the founding members of Portland’s art collective True North Studios, a community art space (2017-2023). Bearden is an active member of the OMPA, and the stagehand union IATSE Local 28. Bearden was awarded sculpture scholarships to Haystack Mountain School of Craft (2015), Penland School of Craft (2019), and a writers residency at The Sou’wester (2024). She has been active in the animation industry since 2018, in both fabrication and production management on numerous short films, and commercial projects, with clients including Honey Nut Cheerios, Drumstick Ice Cream, and Fischer Price to name a few. She believes in environmental preservation, and dedicates her time to creating work in a sustainable fashion by using quality, recycled, and low waste materials whenever possible. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, boating, and driving her 1979 Chevy LUV.
